23rd March, 2022 (Kuching) – YASTart.io officially launches our world’s first phygital (physical + digital) artwork platform assured by Quantum Metal gold.
Our Guest of Honor, Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts, Minister of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Sarawak Dato’ Sri Haji Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, took a tour to visit the artworks produced by our artists upon his arrival.
Welcoming speech was delivered by Cheryl Toh from YASTech Digital Solutions, which formulated YASTart.io.
Followed by the briefing on the “YAST ART Development Journey” for year 2022, where Mr. Koh How Tze, Executive Director of YASTart.io, showed the timeline on how onboarding artists is to be followed by onboarding buyers, launch of Marketplace and Auction, and Glocalization milestones in conjunction with upcoming Miss Tourism International 2022 World Final.
Koh also introduced our Master Artist, Alex Chung who is also known as Master Roong Huah, Malaysia Book of Record holder for energy paintings. Master Roong Huah focuses on colors and light in his strokes. The uniqueness of his artworks not only pleasing to the eye, but also radiate positive energy to the environment around us.
The platform is Sarawak’s homegrown idea originated by Founder and Chairlady of YAST Group, Mdm Esther Law.
In her speech during the launching, she enacts the culture of R.E.A.L value in connecting, enriching and empowering the world, through the platform both YASTart.io and YASTECH synergises together.
“We do not have to ride on to be the first, each and everyone has to be the unique one to sustain,” said Mdm Esther Law during her opening speech, she centres on being original as a creator and innovator.
Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts, Minister of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Sarawak Dato’ Sri Haji Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah officiated the launch of YAST ART with the symbolic of minting his artwork on YASTart.io platform which was made into NFT, presented by Mr. Sylvester Lee, Director and Chief Technical Officer (CTO) of YASTECH.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) exchange ceremony represented by YASTECH Digital Solutions’ Cheryl Toh and Junior Chamber International (JCI) Kuching president Jordan Bong was witnessed by Dato’ Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, Mdm Esther Law and Tan Sri Datuk Danny Ooi, owner and president of Miss Tourism International.
Also featured during the Arts Exhbition was Master Roong Huah (Energy Art Artist and Malaysia Book of Records Holder) , YASTart.io Master Artist and three other local artists namely Derek Siu, Alex Seo and Winnie Chin.
